CMS PTSA Welcome Message

Welcome back to school from the CMS PTSA! This school year (2021-2022) is like none before and the CMS PTSA is here to help CMS families get through it together.  The CMS PTSA was able to provide programming support to students and CMS as last year came to an end and as we find our way through this unprecedented year, we will work to plan, coordinate and fund enriching and diverse programs and activities for CMS students and parents. Together we are a powerful resource for our school!  Please consider joining and donating; it will take just a few clicks, and like us on Facebook for more frequent news and updates.

The PTSA and the students of CMS greatly appreciate you being as generous as your budget allows with donating. 100% of your tax-deductible donation will go directly to supporting CMS.

Be sure to always check the CMS weekly email update for information and volunteer opportunities.

———————————————————————————————————————————————–

The CMS PTSA plans, coordinates and funds many enriching and diverse programs and activities for your children throughout the school year.  We also foster partnerships between parents, teachers, students, administrators, and staff members.

By joining the PTSA you provide support and are able to engage with your child’s school. More than 35 years of research has proven that children do better when their parents are involved both at home and in school. You of course do the part at home, and the PTSA offer opportunities at school. Please also be sure to renew your membership annually. Everyone can join: parents, guardians, grandparents, students — all are welcome!

Also, the Community Middle School PTSA is entirely run by parent volunteers — just like you. We welcome both experienced and new volunteers. The amount of time you devote is up to you. Together we are a powerful resource for our school. Be on the lookout for CMS PTSA emails through Genesis with volunteer opportunities. Or, come and stop by the front hall of the school tonight and chat with a PTSA board member.

So, now that we have discussed some of what the PTSA does, it is important to discuss how it is funded. Funding for the amazing, collaborative PTSA programs comes exclusively from CMS families through the Just Write a Check campaign. You received information in your child’s backpack in the first week school about the PTSA and a form to join, as well as to donate to our Just Write a Check fundraising effort. The PTSA and the students and CMS greatly appreciate your being as generous as your budget allows with donating. One hundred percent of your tax-deductible donation will go directly to supporting CMS.

If you have not done so already, please take a look at the papers that came home. And please reach out to the PTSA with any questions or needs at  CommunityMiddleSchoolPTSA@gmail.com.
